My work begins with curiosity rather than a finished idea. I work intuitively with layers of paper, paint, ink, line, color, found materials and repeated marks, allowing one choice to lead to another. I am drawn to the places where structure meets spontaneity the relationship between bold black lines and color, order and play, what is visible and what is still emerging. Rather than trying to control what a piece becomes, I am interested in noticing what happens while I am making it.
